Peter Poon is the Founding Principal of PPA Architects. Since starting the practice in 1988, Mr. Poon has overseen the growth and development of the firm into a successful architecture practice focused on hospitality, residential, community-based design and planning. Born in Hong Kong, educated at Illinois Institute of Technology, trained at Harvard University, with a career spent fully in New York City, Mr. Poon brings quality expertise to the leadership of the firm and focused know how to each project.
Mr. Poon and his office work with both international and regional developers to resolve the feasibility of complex projects and goes on to execute highly efficient built projects. This work with development clients has been entirely within an urban environment and with such opportunity. Peter has also committed himself to results that will tangibly add to the quality of life and to the community. Peter is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. He has achieved a diverse and international practice.
Lin-lih Lin has over 30 years of experience in leading and in implementing architecture projects in New York. Ms. Lin’s proficiency as an architect is diverse and ranges from multifamily residential, to hotel, to commercial, and to religious as well as local NYCHA and DDC projects. Having the talent of a hands-on practitioner with a keen sense of detail allows Ms. Lin to lead projects for both international and New York clients very well.
Ms. Lin joined PPA Architects in 1992 to focus on community-based projects and has been a key player for the firm ever since. She is a valuable resource to clients for design, permitting, and code compliance knowledge. Firm wide, Ms. Lin contributes as Principal for resource and office management. Born in Taiwan, studied at Taiwan’s National Cheng Kung University for Architectural Engineering and trained at SUNY at Buffalo for Masters of Architecture, she is fluent in English and Mandarin.
Mr. Kewin joined PPA Architects in 2012 to apply his 35 years of project leadership experience to an expanding firm. Since then Mr. Kewin designed and has under construction three large hotels in New York. Mr. Kewin has diverse and comprehensive experience designing, implementing, directing and managing all aspects of multiple large-scale projects from inception to completion.
Prior to PPA, George led a 40-person studio that concentrated on mixed-use, residential, masterplanning, and infrastructure projects in the Middle East and Asia. Other past experience includes projects with world class New York firms building in Europe, and award winning museum and university buildings in the United States. Additional experience includes retail, residential interior, identity and branding projects for international clients.
Educated at University of California, Berkeley, trained at Harvard University, having worked for 43 years in New York, Mr. Kewin’s firm-wide responsibilities in addition to Design and Project Direction include business development and marketing.
